If I were to tell you that Reno Mahe was arrested for second degree felony charges would you believe me? Well he was, and here is the story of Reno Mahe.
Mahe was born June 3rd, 1980 to the parents Sateki Reno Mahe Sr. and his wife, Eva. He was one of eight children that grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah. Mahe attended Brighton High School where he achieved multiple awards. He was named All-State twice and was even named Gatorade’s Utah Player of the year.
The Utah native was offered to play college football at either the University of Utah or BYU. The Utes wanted him to play on the defensive side of the ball, while BYU offered him a chance to play offense. He chose to attend BYU and play offense.
Mahe had a successful freshman season but was then suspended for violating BYU’s Honor code. BYU’s Honor Code states, “students must be honest, live a chaste and a virtuous life, use clean language, and abstain from alcohol, tobacco, coffee, tea and drugs.” He was suspended for having premarital sex.
For his Sophomore year, Mahe transferred to Dixie State College, in St. George, Utah. …read more
