Hugh Douglas was born in Mansfiled, Ohio where he attended Mansfield Senior High School and excelled in varsity football. After High School, Douglas attended Central State University which is located in Wlberforce, Ohio. Central University is a historically black university with an undergraduate class less than 3,000 students. While at the school Douglas was a dominant force on the football field.
