Vick threw for a personal record of 428 yards and two touchdowns on 23-36 passing. He also ran for 23 yards and another touchdown. Two games into the season, Vick continues a torrid pace. Furthermore, the Virginia Tech product continued to make good decisions and was only sacked one time.
2. San Diego’s Offensive Line
Quarterback Philip Rivers was barely touched. Flanked by tackles DJ Fluker and King Dunlap, Rivers was sacked just once while the Chargers ran for 126 yards and a 4.1 average per rush.
3. QB Philip Rivers and Wide Receivers Malcolm Floyd and Eddie Royal.
For as good as Vick was, Philip Rivers was just as good in throwing for 419 yards and three touchdowns, all to Eddie Royal. Royal and Malcolm Floyd (prior to injury) combined for 12 receptions for 192 yards and three touchdowns. Floyd was nearly unstoppable.
