Watching the Phillies on TV is one of my earliest memories in life. It’s one of the few things that I can remember doing nearly all my life. Outside of ’93 and the last 6 or 7 years, they were some pretty dark times.
Through all those years of watching games, I always held out hope in watching some of the younger players coming up through the system and hoping that they would be “the piece” that started a new, positive era.
Well, here we are again. The Phillies through age and/or injury are going through a slight downturn. The difference now is that they have afforded themselves the chance to get themselves righted through better drafting, trades and no sugarcoating needed, cash to burn.
As the season winds down and we watch a lot of young kids passing through, we’ll take a look at some of the possible future Phils. Let’s kick this series off with the potential future cornerstone, Dom Brown.
