The Philadelphia Eagles played the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday Night Football last week and it wasn’t pretty. I watched in a haze, bored to death by a sloppy offense that was not the pedal to the metal, exxxtreme experience that I have been promised in the Chip Kelly era. The game was only slightly less boring than Donovan McNabb’s halftime speech (I still love you Donovan).
- Andy Reid seemed to know a thing or two about how to contain Michael Vick. The fact is, Big Red has ALWAYS known how to contain Vick, going back to the days when he was a dynamic rushing force on offense. Also, he kind of worked with Vick for a couple years there. Just a weeeee bit of familiarity.
- Of course we can’t give Time’s Yours Guys all of the credit for Vick’s cruddy game. The Michael Vick Experience was all about inaccuracy and staring receivers down. Vick went 13-30 for 201 yards, 1 TD and 2 interceptions. 43% is not going to cut it.
