If there was any day of the year as an adult, that captured the excitement and anticipation I felt as a child around Christmas, it’s fantasy football draft day. Much like my smaller self, I have a wish list that I’m hoping Santa/ The Football Gods grant me to plow through my opponents this year.
The first hurdle is draft order. Mostly we are dealing with a snake draft , which can disappoint or delight depending on your lot. While #1 is great , your next pick is long off and if your stud fizzles, your season is over. I prefer #10-# 12 where you may not get the big dog but you’ll get 2 solid picks back to back. If you get the 6th or 7th pick, quietly eat as much of the draft snacks as you can because you most likely wont be winning the money this year.
Essentially, there’s no help I can give you for the first few rounds. The top 24 players will go in slightly varying orders.
