The NFC East leading Philadelphia Eagles head down to Tampa Bay to face the 0-4 Buccaneers. Don’t let the Bucs record fool you, they have played much better than their record indicates. The Bucs have lost their four games by a combined 26 points (but that includes a 20-point drubbing to the New England Patriots).
This is what someone would call a “trap game” for the Eagles. A trap game is basically when one team (the Eagles) overlooks a “lesser” team (in this case the Buccaneers), and the “lesser” team is able to upset the “stronger” team.
So why would the Eagles overlook the Bucs? It’s simple, next week is Dallas week.
In the NFL, it is never a good idea to overlook any team, especially one that is so strong defensively. The Bucs hold the 13th ranked defense, but have proven to be much stronger than that defensively. If Nick Foles starts, he needs to keep a clean game for the Eagles to win.
And don’t forget, Nick Foles only career win as a starting quarterback came last year in Tampa Bay.
