In an NFC East showdown between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys, the Eagles were unable to finish Dallas Week with a victory. The Eagles who have struggled to find ways to win games at home took another loss at the Linc. The Cowboys topped the Eagles 17-3.
Perhaps, the biggest story of the game was quarterback, Nick Foles’ performance. Foles who was 2-0 thus far since taking over for Michael Vick as the starting quarterback. Today however, was just a poor performance by Foles. He finished the day going 11-29 with just 80 yards through the air without a touchdown or interception.
Foles was later knocked out of the game after taking a hit to the head. That paved the way for Matt Barkley to come into the game.
The Eagles didn’t seem to have anything going for them on the offensive side of the ball. LeSean McCoy was limited to just 55 yards on 15 carries. The Dallas defense did a good job on shutting down the Eagles offense this afternoon.
Defensively, the Eagles played well enough to keep the Eagles in the game, but the offense couldn’t capitalize. Matt Barkley had three interceptions on top of it all.
