So our beloved Philadelphia Eagles limped to the quarter poll of the season with a 1-3 record. Yet somehow, the Eagles hold steady at second place in the dreadful NFC East.
The Eagles have put together one outstanding half and the rest of the season has been kind of “blah.”
A horrendous loss to the San Diego Chargers in week two led to a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in week three. That in turn set the Eagles up to be embarrassed by Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos last Sunday.
All has not been bad for the Eagles. The defense has made strides from the Chargers game and LeSean McCoy is the NFL’s leading rusher.
With that, let’s grade the Birds.
Michael Vick has been nothing short of…enigmatic? Vick has looked like the MVP of the league and 2012 Vick at the same time. Against the Redskins and Chargers, Vick could not be stopped. Versus the Chiefs, he reverted back to his old ways. The wide receivers have given Vick little help, but this is MV7′s team, and the team will go as he goes.
