As the World Series winds down, we have a very exciting offseason to look forward to. We have huge names coming up for contracts, with guys like Rod Barajas, Xavier Nady, A.J. Burnett and the artist formerly known as Dan Haren. In truth, the only huge names up are guys from the Yankees, with Robinson Cano and Curtis Granderson. There are some definite names that interest me for the Phillies, but we can save those comments for another day. Today we can review something that is definitely needed going into Halloween Day – 2014 predictions.

The NL East, much like the NFC East, is one of the most disappointing divisions in its respective sport. The Nationals entered the year as prohibitive favorites, and struggled mightily in almost every department. The Braves shot out of a cannon to start the year, and despite a slip up in May, they cruised to the NL East crown. We cried together as the Phillies fell apart. The Mets and Marlins were non-factors.
